Interview with Danny Thorpe over Delphi 9

delphi-source.de from Germany interviewed Danny Thorpe about Diamonback.
Huhaaa... besides D9, two other things also raise my interest.
The first one is Danny in the photo looks very cool and gracious. The other thing is he said Borland would not bring some updates out for Kylix in too furthermore future.


Comments:
On the Kylix front, at Borcon Borland announced a community effort where they would work with members of the Kylix community to provide updates and bug fixes to CLX etc. I dont expect to get a new version of the IDE in the near future though.

The translation is wrong. The "not" is not about the updates but about the "furthermore future". Which means that there will be updates and that it won't take too long.

It's not just in the photos, Danny Thorpe is a very gracious person. I hope you will be able to go to BorCon sometime in the future so you can get the chance to meet the people on the Delphi development team in person.

As far as Kylix is concerned, Michael Swindell announced at the start of the Diamondback meet the team the Kylix Community program which is aimed at updating the Kylix CLX library.
